Carers can be wives, husbands, partners, parents, daughters, sons, friends or neighbours who look after a family member or friend who cannot manage alone due to illness or disability. This includes Young Carers, aged between 8-18 years old
Illnesses or disabilities may include physical or learning disabilities, mental health problems, drug or alcohol misuse.
Care tasks can include, assisting with personal care, giving medication, assisting someone to move around or helping with housework or shopping
The Carers Centre is based at Trondra Place in Easterhouse,
supporting Carers in the North East of Glasgow.
We offer a range of services to Carers, including information and advice, emotional support, a short break service, helping you to have your voice heard, information on benefits or grants which may be available or other money matters and personal development and wellbeing supports.
